Bluebonnets & Babies

This past weekend we went to Wildseed Farms, near Fredericksburg. It is the largest working Wildseed farm in the nation. We had a blast...the ride was nice, the farm was so fun, the company was nice and we got some amazing pictures of Kaylynn in the Bluebonnets. The whole reason for the trip for us was to get Kaylynn's first Bluebonnet pictures. I had never heard of Bluebonnets or the tradition before Melissa told me about them. After talking to people, I learned how special and important they are to Texas and to Texans! Not only are they the state flower, they only bloom for about a month in the Spring. I had no clue, and was told by several people that "every little girl in Texas takes Bluebonnet pictures". Since Kaylynn was born in Texas, and we aren't sure how long we will live here, we decided to participate in this well known (to everyone but us Californians, apparently) tradition. So, here are some pictures from Kaylynn's First Bluebonnet Season!

The last one is simply breathtaking to me...We created that beautiful creature!?! How blessed are we? I am in awe of her everyday. Such a miracle. I can not believe I am living these memories and this life. Wow...
