Texas State Fair

What a busy month it has been! I totally glossed over our trip to the Texas State Fair on the 16th! We had so much fun! We made a trip up to Dallas for the day. The fair was huge. There was so much to do, see and eat! You can get anything you want, fried. I saw fried guacamole, lemonade, beer, lattes, gummy worms, Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, butter, moon pies, snickers and the list goes on...

Kaylynn did really well. She seemed to enjoy the shows, animals and the scenery. The ferris wheel was certainly a sight! I wish we had more time to explore. I hope we can go back again before we leave Texas for good. Enjoy these pictures from our trip!

What a year! We are so blessed!

The PRINCESS is ONE!

Yesterday, our "baby" Kaylynn Marie turned ONE! We had Melissa, Angie and her boys over last night for a little birthday celebration. Boy did she enjoyed her cake the second time around! We got her a wagon, some books, blocks, a puzzle, a ball popper, and some other small toys. She had a really fun time playing with the boys (especially Corey!), eating pizza and opening gifts. What a wonderful and peaceful evening and the perfect way to celebrate!

I can't believe it! Where did that year of my life go? It was the best year of my life yet, hands down. She is such a joy and such a beautiful child, inside and out! I couldn't be prouder or happier to be her Mommy! She went to the doctor this morning for her 1 year appointment. She weighed 22 lbs 4 oz (60th percentile) and was 31 inches tall (90th percentile). She got 4 shots which she was not thrilled about but she did well. According to the doctor she is doing everything at a 15-18 month level so far. I can not wait to see her grow and see what the rest of her life has in store for her. But Kaylynn, can you slow the growing down a bit? I'm not ready for a toddler yet!
